Stockport u3a is a member of the Third Age Trust, and runs in accordance with the Objects and Principles of the Movement. It is an independently managed, self governing charitable organisation, within the framework of The Trust and is a registered charity number 1024473.

Stockport u3a is managed by the executive committee.

Committee members are trustees who must

  • act in the interests of the u3a.
  • ensure that it operates in a manner that is consistent with its objects and purpose.
  • act with care and diligence and in accordance with any legal requirements.

Annual General Meeting.Admin

The Annual General Meeting, to which all members are invited, is normally held in March. The committee reports on the years activities, and the accounts are presented. Committee members are elected at the AGM.
